Aha! So it’s an Eastern European thing. I figured they had to be made somewhere else too. Hopefully we’ll be lucky enough that someone stumbles by who can tell us the real name, or the real spelling.

Hey, I found your through foodbuzz. Great 24,24,24 idea! My grandma used to make these too (or something similar) and I honestly think it was the only time she bought beer. =) We just called them Lithuanian Bow-Knots…at least your name sounds authentic!

Aww, thanks. Man, there are tons more too. Dad with muttonchop sideburns, sis as a baby asleep in her pancakes, etc. I wished I had more young photos of Grandma; would have been cool to post those for a truer look, though of course the old her is what I know. There *was* one youngish one in Mom’s albums, and she actually didn’t look as cute as she did when she got older. Mom was like, “Improved with age, huh?”
